Phulchowki which means ‘Hill of Flowers’ in Nepali is the highest hill (2782m) among the surrounding hills of Kathmandu valley which is located approx. 14 km in the south east of Kathmandu valley.

Tour Itineary


Phulchoki HIke

06:00 – Gather all groups in Lagankhel Bus park. 06:15 – Depart from Lagankhel drive about 14 km (approx. 45 minutes depending upon the traffic) to Godavari. 07:15 – Tea break, fill up water bottle or last minute shopping for the hike 07:30 – Entry your name (entrance of Phulchowki) pay entry fee and start your hike. On the way you will experience the vegetation of subtropical thick forest of Oak and rhododendron 12:00 – Reach top of Phulchowki (2782m), which is decorated with impressive views of the mountains from eastern part of Annapurna range to Gaurishanker in the east. Lunch break for half an hour (note: there is a small Army canteen where you could buy tea, water, some snacks, noodle soups etc. but make sure that you bring plenty of water as there are no water or food available on the way) 13:00- Hike down the same route to Godavari 16:00– Meet the vehicle at Godavari and drive back to pickup point
